Archived Work
2014-2016
Though I no longer work extensively in installation and sculpture, I view these formative years as essential building blocks that shaped the direction of my practice today.
With All But Female Grace - 2014
In this piece, I explored ideas of bodily and thought conformity; the final installation played this video back onto the 'canvas' of material from which I cut.
Reflect - 2015
This work stemmed from the idea of a dualistic force.
Chokecherry - 2015
The piece expresses both appropriation and preservation within the community I was raised in
No Name - 2016
This series examines the disconnect between pride, birthright, and lived reality.
Edifice - 2016
The human body is central to how we recognize one another, yet distorted self-perception can render it alien and unrecognizable
Portraits of their Compendium Tithe - 2016
The final piece of my graduating year.
Each participant was asked to spend two weeks noticing and collecting overlooked items from their daily lives.
From these materials, I curated a “snapshot” of who they were during that period, creating portraits shaped not by what they chose to present, but by what they left behind.
