About the Artist
I grew up in a small town in Northwestern Ontario, Canada. I later moved to Ottawa to study at the University of Ottawa, where I earned a degree in Visual Arts (with a focus on sculpture) and a minor in Business Administration. That mix of creativity and business has shaped the way I approach both art and life.
After graduating, I struggled to stick with just one medium. Moving from a messy, hands-on studio to a tidier, more structured space felt like a big shift, and it pushed me to experiment. Over time, I’ve tried everything from painting and drawing to clay, textiles, and even working with found and discarded objects.
In 2018, I set out on a working holiday to New Zealand with my entire life packed into a single suitcase. That experience encouraged me to work with lighter, more portable materials—watercolour, textiles, and embroidery became my main creative outlets during that time.
My work is inspired by textures, shifting light, and layers of transparency, exploring presence and the subtle connections that surround us. I focus on upcycling, giving new life to materials often overlooked, and investigating how art, value, and sustainability intersect. Through this, I aim to inspire others to recognize beauty and possibility in the everyday.
